City bus drivers undergoing road safety training
In its quest to mitigate accidents on the road and to improve safety of passengers, the City’s eThekwini Transport Authority (ETA) working with the Municipality’s private bus operators, have rolled out a safe driving programme for bus drivers. As part of the transport month activities, the refresher course is aimed at helping drivers to improve their driving skills that would help the city in its endeavour to reduce road accidents.
Anticipate New Load Shedding Schedule
eThekwini Municipality’s new load shedding schedule allows for the changes in customer loads over the years and Eskom’s new requirement of catering for up to 8 stages. Implementation of the new load shedding schedule started on Monday, 5 October.
